Avatar The Last Airbender - Sozin’s Comet Part 1: The Phoenix King

Aang is learning firebending from Zuko, but when he suddenly ditches lesson to have a beach party, Zuko begins attacking him. He tells Aang and the rest of the party about Firelord Ozai’s plans to incinerate the entire Earth Kingdom by using the power of Sozin’s Comet. Realizing this, Aang resolves to face him before it arrives. Sokka decides to have a simulation fight against a scarecrow, but Aang refuses to kill it due to his peaceful nature non-violent upbringing.

That night, however, Aang mysteriously disappears into the water. After the group fails to locate him, Zuko takes them to a tracker who could possibly locate Aang. Meanwhile, Fire lord Ozai proclaims himself to be ruler of the world, under the title “Phoenix King”, and declares Azula to be the new Fire lord.

Avatar The Last Airbender - Sozin’s Comet Part 2: The Old Masters

Zuko’s tracker is unable to locate Aang, but she is able to find Zuko’s uncle, Iroh. He, along with a host of previously seen characters are part of a group known as the “Order of the White Lotus”, and they plan to liberate the Earth Capital, Ba Sing Se, from Fire Nation rule. Through collaboration with the Order of the White Lotus, a plan is formed: Zuko and Katara are to face Azula in the Fire Nation capital, while the rest of the party is to fight Ozai and stop the airship fleet that is to be responsible for an attack on the Earth Kingdom - with or without Aang’s help.

Meanwhile, Aang awakens on a floating island, which he realizes is a giant lion-turtle. Frustrated with his inability to find a way to defeat Ozai without killing him, he asks the lion-turtle for help. It provides Aang with some wisdom, before dropping him off on the shores of the Earth Kingdom.

Avatar The Last Airbender - Sozin’s Comet Part 3: Into the Inferno

Zuko and Katara fly on Appa to the Fire capital, and realize that Azula banished nearly all of her subjects (including her loyal Dai Li agents) in fear of betrayal. This leaves Azula mentally insane. Due to her weakness, Zuko accepts Azula’s challenge of an Agni Kai, or “fire duel”. Just as Zuko is seemingly readying to defeat Azula, she shoots a bolt of lightning at Katara. Zuko jumps in the middle, preventing Katara from getting hurt.

Meanwhile, Sokka, Toph, and Suki hijack one of the Fire Nation airships, and use it to destroy multiple others, effectively destroying Ozai’s plan of incinerating the Earth Kingdom. Aang suddenly appears, and begins to duel the Fire Lord.

Avatar The Last Airbender - Sozin’s Comet Part 4: Avatar Aang

After a fierce battle, as Ozai pushes Aang into a rock, Aang releases the seventh chakra and enters the Avatar state. With the power of all of his previous lives, Aang is able to tip the battle to his favor. Although Ozai is subdued, Aang refuses to kill him. Aang realizes what the lion-turtle said, and uses its technique to strip Ozai of his firebending powers, instead of killing him. This effectively ends Ozai’s ability to wage war again.

Additionally, the Order of the White Lotus manage to liberate Ba Sing Se, and Katara manages to defeat Azula. During his coronation, Zuko, as well as Aang, promises to aid the world in reconstruction.
